Yeah, I'm thinking it'd probably be well worth the extra money to pay for commercial grade.

I did that about three weeks ago....a very botched batch of cookies and a sparking mixer. No fire, though.

So far the cookies are looking good...they may taste like hell but they look fabulous

I had an SO leave a pan on the stove and leave the house to go down the way to his parents house - he left it on on purpose, didn't think he'd be gone that long. This house is old and there's wood cupboards above the stove instead of a vent and I came home and the place was inches from ablaze and the dogs were in the house.

I've blown out outlets before, but at least I know how to change those myself and telephone jacks too.

Oh yeah, just smoke no fire but it was close - and the other dog who was trying to cook is out too!
