How'd you like driving on the road with the buggies
Actually, we hardly encountered any at all out by Lancaster...I was surprised! I see more of them around here....I live about 1/2 hr SW-ish of Harrisburg.
Lemme tell ya...it takes some getting used to! The roads here are so freaking narrow and it's quite the surprise when you come up over a hill and have to slam on the brakes to avoid pegging off a buggy.
No, it was Indian war land and then a an orphanage with a lot of buildings and a school were built on it, but there was a huge grassy area between the street and the main building. The area also has the tunnels and houses that were part of the underground railroad, but the bodies pre date that
Wow, too coincidental, thats 3 of us who live or lived near underground railroads.
Wow, that kinda surprises me. I thought nothing was ever built over Indian burial grounds?
No one knows if they were Indians. They found one and it made a huge deal in the newspaper and then they continued to dig to build and more and more bodies were found that were just randomly burried -not like a cemetary- and the bodies had been burried in blankets. The ground around here is like clay so it's pretty preservative.

OMG, the beauty of PA is what actually made me want to move here. Well, I have family here too...but you know And you're right, it's so easy to spot an Amish farm - very clean and neat.
