Oh boy! That's never happened to me although I've been played before. I'm sorry that that happened to you. I would probably slam the door to let them know I saw them and then leave. It would be over at that point. No contact at all. Nothing!

I have played this scenario in my mind. You never know what can happen so I've thought about it, just like I've thought what I would do if I found a thief in the house.
I would just very calmly tell them to get the blank, blank, blank (4 letter word) out of my house NOW! I would take all of my immediate EX's things (without going through too much effort) and throw them outside. He can pick up whatever he wants to if he happens to come by before the garbage pick up truck does, and then he better not show his sorry self around me ever again.
The thief.....well I'd go running out of the house screaming to the top of my lungs and leave him with the big dog. :-))
