But you don't actually know them, so how can you trust them? For all you know, they might share your picture with other members. I just don't understand the idea of showing 1 random stranger your picture but not wanting another random stranger to see it.
Because family may be lurking the boards, or people I work with, are neighbors with...etc.
There are things I post that I do not want some people knowing. If they see my pic they have confirmation that it is me. If they don't see my pic they can never be sure.
I check someone's history before I let them have access. If they share my pic with others, than oh well. BUT...I guess I don't have that "I'm the center of the universe" attitude like you do...I just don't think I'm THAT important that someone would be passing my photo around for no good reason.
Edited to add: If someone sends a friend request, I'll usually grant it, but it has to be requested so I know WHO is looking. I should also add that if I don't like the content of someones posting history, they don't get persmission either.
Why thank you. I use to hear that I look Wanda Sykes a LOT when I'd wear my hair kinky. I hated the comparison, chalked it up to the hair style. But here you go saying it when you view me with straight hair... I guess it's time for me to face the truth!!!

I don't understand why people with private profiles are posting on here saying "I have a picture on my profile." If you don't trust a regular user to see your picture, why do you trust random people you befriended on city data? It's not like you actually KNOW these people.
Maybe I'm being naive here, in fact I'm sure I am, but what exactly can someone do to you with your pic? I have made posts that I'd rather some people didn't see, but I figure the likelihood is low that they will and it wouldn't be the end of the world. I get personal here but I don't post my deepest darkest secrets. It seems people are divided--some wouldn't post their picture anywhere, and some people will send naked pictures on their cellphone to almost strangers and then wonder how the whole football team got to see them. I'm between the extremes--I can't imagine anyone would want to use my pic for anything besides satisfying their curiosity.
