I don't think I've ever been described as intimidating.

My father on the hand, people are always intimidated by him. He looks like a big gangster...the one who takes care of the dirty work. We used to joke around that nobody would start with him in a dark alleyway, especially when he wore his trench coat. LOL

I'm not an open, warm, welcoming person. But I don't think it makes me "intimidating". I know that people that are huggers just seem to instinctively realize that I do NOT want to be touched, and when I was in the Navy, people would cross the street rather than pass close by me.

They would cross the street? What the heck were you doing??? Swinging nunchucks? Juggling fire or swords?

But do you bathe and brush your teeth regularly? If not, that might account for it!

Oh, my room mate has no trouble telling people that they stink--if they do.

And she's never mentioned it to me.

Ordinarily, I don't stink unless I sweat. I don't sweat unless I'm working. Walking isn't much in the way of physical exertion.

Is this a good thing or a bad thing?

How does a person use this characteristic to their advantage in social situations, without causing others to 'clam up' ?

I have been told that I can be by both men and women.
