Yeah, I can accept her as an example of a tomboy. The jokes farther up the thread are ridiculous, though. Then again... they are to be expected all things considered...

I've been a tomboy most of my life and have never lacked for male companionship.

But seriously, being a tomboy or a man for that matter doesn't mean you always have to dominate. Personally I prefer things to be a little more equal, not more always dominating/initiating and the other just taking it. I would expect that of any kind of lady.
something I have noticed about repubocrat is that they never have anything nice to say. They are best ignored.

Default Any guys here have a thing for tomboys?

My boyfriend does... obviously. And I know more than a few men that would love a girlfriend that can change a flat tire all by herself or replace a headlight bulb. Not every guy likes a girly helpless woman that doesn't want to get her hands dirty or break one of her long fingernails.

I dated someone who would make a big stink every time she broke a nail. She'd also need my help with the littlest of things, things that I thought she should've been able to handle herself. It's nice to feel helpful, but there's something to be said for self-sufficiency. A woman should be able to do certain things on her own and not need to run to a man for help. If I wanted a child, I'd go have kids. That's why the girly helpless women are such a turn-off. I'd rather be with someone who just says "oh well" when she chips a nail or better yet, she doesn't have long nails.

I don't see why a straight man would seek after a masculine woman. That makes no sense at all.

My wife has her own freshwater and saltwater fishing gear and a rifle. She is a good shot with that rifle (targets). She assists me in launching and retrieving our boat and loves driving it. She doesn't lay out on the bow or stern and sunbath......a little too old for that anymore (like myself). While living in Colorado, she loved going to Fairs and getting around the livestock. She wears a baseball cap sometimes and I love it! She looks great in a cowboy hat, Wrangler Jeans and lace-up Roper boots (helped me when I rodeoed some years ago).
She isn't a "Tomboy" for-to-say, but she sure can handle a rod/reel and her rifle! And, she is almost 62 years old! I love, love, love it!!!
