My friend (male) is deciding whom to date, what are some factors he should consider? Attraction? Things in common?

Tell him to date both. He can decide later if and when one is worthy of exclusivity.

Exactly. Why does it have to be one or the other when all he's doing is "considering dating"?

LOL...if he does, someone needs to get it on video.
It's just dating. Dating multiple people is fine if everyone involve knows it's not exclusive, it's just dating to get to know someone, not being in a relationship. It's that step before deciding if you want to get more involved with someone.

Things in common, gee what a novel idea.
What gives the b*tchy one the impression that you’re, I mean they are exclusive? How long has the relationship been going on with her? If it’s a year and neither of you have been dating others there’s a pretty good chance that’s why she thinks you’re exclusive. I suspect there is a lot more to this story then we’re getting. Let’s have it...
