Ten years ago, when I was home, people would attend on me
It's spoiled me a long way coz I can't do anything for myself now. I'm just sitting around grunting and gurgling
I just can relate because I had to go in for emergency surgery for a kidney stone and I had reached a fever of 105 degrees and I was completely dehydrated because of it and they had me waiting to make room for me in surgery I couldn't drink anything and my toungne literally ripped the entire skin off my upper mouth - one large huge peice. It was awful.

Kidney stones are rough. I used to hear they have painless removal techniques these days. But that must also be expensive, and a christmas comes early for the insurance inquisition

When the stone gets stuck in the ureter everything backs up into your system poisoning your blood which causes the infection and fever and you can die from them. They'll typically put in a stent to open it up until you can have surgery - but the gosh darn thing makes you feel like you have to go to the bathroom ALL THE TIME.
The surgery itself is okay - they have 3 methods and last time the doctor did lazer surgery and let me watch it on a monitor - like my own little Discovery Channel.
The sugeries are anywhere betwee $2000 to $4000 a pop. I've had three so far and there are four stones floating around in there waiting to cash their checks too.

That's not good. And it's not fair they can charge each time. Should not one operation get rid of all stones????
I'm sorry. I have known kidney stone problems in my family and that's the last place one wants a stone in. Hospitals scare me

No the stones are in the under bowl area of the kidney and they wouldn't be able to get to them so, I have to wait until they move. They are herditary they believe - my dad and brother get them too.
I hate hospitals too and always sign myself out AMA (against medical advice) and go home. I can't spend the night in the hospital.
I just put a roast with potatoes onions and carrots, in the crock pot for dinner tonight, made my son's breakfast, yelled at him 17 times (one for each year) to get out of bed (even though I bought him a new ear-splitting alarm clock for his b/d ), made his lunch for school, took the sheets off the bed and washed them, took out the trash, took a shower, got dressed, loaded the dishwasher and turned it on, and got ready for work.
