If he's abusive and already assaulting her, it's bound to end badly if she doesn't leave and divorce him.
I know from experience and walked away from a marriage of more than 10 years. Once abusive...always abusive. It only escalates. Many woman though will try to hang in there...thinking it will get better...perhaps if I don't make him angry or make his favorite meal or become his slave.
Ladies...wake up!!! It will just keep getting worse. I know that it's difficult; I only wish that I didn't wait so long At least I fled before he hurt me worse. Some woman don't make it out with their lives!!! And don't worry about the "stuff" you have...it can be replaced = your life can't be.

I think that's the whole point of making light of this story. It's because it says he spanked her. If he had just hit her it wouldn't even be in the papers.

Well it did say he was accused of spanking, not that he just claims to have spanked...
So you can spank and hit a child with a belt or hand but if you do it to an adult it is a horrible crime. Mmmmmkaaay. That makes no sense.
That's just what my thoughts on this were. I don't believe spanking is ever right on anyone. What he did deserves jail time. I don't see what's so funny about physical abuse? It seems hard that many people nowadays can't keep their hands to themselves. How hard can that be (unless you're stupid)?
