A son or a daughter? And what about the kid's mother? Is she around? Was it a civilized breakup or divorce? And how does this 10 year old kid feel about you? Are you auntie status yet?
One important reason why he's not moving fast enough
for you in this relationship is because his kid HAS to come first and before YOU. And that's the way it's always going to be. Can you handle that? People with kids can't just go moving in with or marrying another person quickly. They have to make sure that their kid's needs and happiness come first.
Maybe your boyfriend doesn't want his kid to see all the romantic stuff you do together.
Why don't you break up with this guy and find one without kids to date? You obviously need a boyfriend that can give you a lot of attention and has the freedom to get serious about marrying you sooner than later.
