Tk, based on your posts, it's pretty evident how much education you've had. And the value you place on it.

Grow up, dude.

This. Once upon a time there was a pay gap. Today, not so much. The overall statistic that women make 75% of men do doesn't take into account the other side of the equation where women only do 70% of the work. This is one example of feminism telling half-truths that causes harm to society and relationships in general.

Also, women being educated and making as much as men does hurt relationships in general. Women more often than people realized, dumb down their interactions with men. Also, high earning women end up pricing themselves out of the market by violating their own hypergamous nature. As women move up the ladder they find less men to marry up with. This is in large part why the perception there are no good men around at older women's levels. It's partly true because many are already married off, but what doesn't get taken into account is that they look beyond the men in their peer group.

Education doesn't have to end with college...you can choose self-study.

I think, maybe, the wage gap is lessening because more and more women are actually going to college, getting degrees and opting for good careers. I read a while back that more women than men are graduating from college and, while it does my heart good to see women doing all this, I wonder why. When I wanted to go to college out of high school, I couldn't. My parents couldn't afford it and my dad told me it would be useless because I'd just "get married and have a houseful of kids" anyway. So, I waited and went in my early 30s, but I went! I'm glad I didn't go right out of high school...it would've been party central!! In my early 30s I knew what I wanted and was willing to work for it.

Sorry, but I still think that "averaging" thing is a lotta poop. There is NO comparison between an orthopedic surgeon and a teacher on any level.

yes, they average ALL incomes of all kinds of employment. together, that means that figure they use includes orthopedic surgeons and teachers.

Feminism is so toxic that it is now synonymous with "man-hating, woman-aggrandizing agendas". Misandry is the new black hatred IMHO.

Which feminism do you mean?

-liberal feminism
-radical feminism
-post-structuralist feminism
-anarchist feminism
-french feminism
-socialist feminism
-multiracial feminism

You cannot use the word 'feminism' without defining the intent and politics. Not all feminists have the same political, cultural or sociological theories.

And not all feminists hate men, the family unit and children.

Good point. Mainstream feminism has creating a culture of misandry. Just watch TV and commercials. You can't go 2 hours of watching network TV without being shown how men are nothing but a bunch of sex crazed pigs, deadbeats, psychos, or jerks. There are few, if any, positive masculine male role models these days. The War Against Boys touched on this about a decade ago and it's only now starting to become noticed. Sad.

I think the boob-tube is a great contributor to many folks depressing perceptions. It will turn your mind to mush if it hasn't already.
