I already said I belong to the "at work with nothing useful to contribute" category. Although at some point in my year or so of posting I have probably hit on most of those sections, as I suspect most long term posters have.

HaHaHaHaHa. Oh lordy...that was a good one.

I read these posts for the same reason my friends and I used to get together to watch Jerry Springer.

It shows me what people think about their relationships. It doesn't help me understand my own relationships.

Being a people person, i find it interesting to see other people's take on such subjects/topics/discussions..plus, we have alot of fun here..even if we don't always agree..That is part of life...and part of understanding our fellow brothers and sisters.. and, perhaps helping someone find answers to questions they can't quite answer for themselves..

I look at as if i have helped someone on their path towards finding happiness...or just contentment, then i am fulfilling my duty helping those around me...all the while, enjoying a few laughs along the way

Geesh speak for yourself. I know it's easy to assume everybody is the same as you, but ime, it's usually not the case, especially on internet forums. There are a host of reasons to participate other than bored at work, nothing to contribute, or advocating sexist sterotypes. For one, arguing against sexist stereotypes *raises hand*

I failed to mention one thing. With all this advice flying all around, it would be nice to see posters come back with a follow up to let people know if it worked or not. I don't ever see this. Hate to think that we all sit here to give our solutions but nothing ever gets solved.... .... What a waste..
