How would you know? I didn`t think you actually go on dates?

I hate football.
And it's true, it's rare that I'd go out to eat. We're far more likely to eat something she's cooked up at home. But if we do get pizza or subs, I'd pay for them.
I met this girl through an online dating site. She initiated contact with me, but after communicating for a while I decided to ask her out for coffee, as kind of a "get to know you" date.
My question for you is, as the guy, should I pay for her coffee? I don't mind, and I'd actually like to do it. But would that be too forward? I mean, we're not officially dating, so I don't want her to think I'm jumping the gun by assuming we're in a relationship when we're just meeting for the first time. I'd hate to scare her off by seeming too eager to be official.

I always paid for my dates. It was the right thing to do.
If you are a man, first few dates are when you pay. Afterwards, the person who ask should pay or go dutch or whatever
