I wasted way too much time on this today and still didn't read it all. But I kept thinking, how's about getting sofiama and TV sports guy together? No wait--Tv's too cheap.
I think someone might have already suggested that (or maybe it was another thread)...but yeah, I have a feeling it would be the clash of the millenium!
A word of warning to the fellas out there, a lot more girls than you think might be like the OP.
Back when I was in Virginia, I was a on a date that was going great. We had a nice dinner, nice conversation and she ended the date with "Thanks so much for inviting me out, I had a wonderful time tonight". So I said "If you don't have any other plans tonight, you're free to come over to my place and watch a blu-ray with me". The reaction was not what I expected, she got a pissed off look on her face and said "what kind of girl do you think I am?" and did not want to talk to me afterwards. I literally just felt like plopping down on the couch, watching a movie and getting to know her more, I had no hidden intentions or motivations.
I guess the moral of the story is that some women will read way too far into innocent comments like this and assume the worst, so just be prepared. I guess it doesn't hurt to ask early on, because you will want to find out her true personality rather sooner than later.
I don't know how innocent a guy can be ...just a movie? my experience tells me it is always more than that
ok after 3 days and reading so many responses on this forum, i replied to that guy by email, saying something like: I would like to go to watch a movie in the theater
tha ball is in his court...wait and see how he reponds
yes, I take zero initiative.b/c that's how the dating is supposed to be..guys chase...girls choose..
I never paid on the first three dates... it is HIS great pleasure to have me on a date...what I pay is my time..
So if he had taken you to a restaurant where the bill had come out to $350, does this mean you would've already have granted him access to your inner depths?
Seriously, it's understandable for a woman to be treated respectfully and like a lady, but from what I read so far, you seem like the prototypical freeloader which leads some men to compare to prostitutes.
I've read it too. I just don't have the willpower to follow 95% of it. It's easier to do The Rules with a guy you're not really that interested in, but unfortunately, I try to avoid dating guys that I'm not really interested in. Good luck with that!
