It's just about collar length or maybe a little longer so it's not down to the middle of my back or anything. Here's what I think about it. As long as my hair is reasonably thick I think it looks ok to have it kind of long. I've never had really short hair in my life and I know I wouldn't like that at all. I do think it looks really bad when you see guys that are very bald on top but then they grow it real long on the sides and the back or even have a pony tail. I just think that looks stupid and if my hair thinned out to that point I'd never try to have long hair. I also think the combover of a few strands from either side of the head that is attempting to cover six or eight inches of a bald head looks equally pitiful. I have no idea what is happening with Donald Trump's hair but it's very odd to say the least.
Anyway, if you look at my profile photo and imagine several inches or more added to that do you think that looks ok for a guy of my age or do you think it looks weird? Be truthful even though I'll be a broken man if you make fun of me.

I think it looks good in your pic-keep it trimmed a bit though because scraggly and grey is kind of scary.

Yes. As long as long hair is healthy and thick it looks good on older men and older women. However, I can't tell you how many times I have heard younger people say that older people wearing thin, scraggly long hair makes them weird. It's all in how you wear it. Nothing wrong with it being long if it is trimmed and cared for.

I'm a sorta oldish guy, low 40's and I have long hair. Its funny all through my teens and early 20's I had long hair. I cut it short, really short and had it that way many many yrs.

It's been long for about 3 or 4 yrs now.... I probably should wack it off and donate it to the cancer kids.....

I prefer short hair on most men regardless of age. Buzz cut ftw!

edit: I looked at your profile pic and it looks fine that length but not longer, imo.

I have good hair. It just curls which drives me insane.

I'm gradually losing though, but it's going straight to my face, so every strand the top of my head doesn't grow back just enhances the thickness of the beard on my face.

Old guys with long grey pony tails are caught in a time warp - The thought that they were so hip back in the day - Now they remind me of guys that are pushing 75 who still have the greased back duck tail Elvis hair cut...get with it - you have to flow with time not get stuck in some era.
