This is not true. They only interfere when it is three men talking about sports.

Thank you both for the clarification.

Let me further clarify: only if one of the men is TVSG.

I love to talk pro football. I know more than most of the men I know. Same with college ball. NASCAR, don't get me started.

I don't usually talk it with groups of men because there is a lot of trash talking and what I like to call "passive participation". The way many guys say "we kicked their a**es last nite!". No, YOU didn't.. YOU sat on the couch shoving Froot Loops in your mouth while an amazing group of talented athletes kicked their a**es.

In any case, since Plan B and free agency, it isn't about the team anymore, it's about the player. The entire landscape of professional football forever changed around 1992. College ball is far more interesting.

With the exception of college football, sports are ****ing boring, imo. I grew up playing football, baseball, soccer, track, and some basketball.

Because of that, I am and have been completely burned out on sports.

I can definitely understand a lady who dislikes sports talk.

Move to Kentucky. Everybody (men and women) talk about nothing but sports.

Maybe she was just tired of listening to you but she's also nosy.

Do you really care?
Are you going to lose sleep over it?
Did you tell her the details?

Or wait. Is this somehow going to tie into the date tomorrow night....like maybe you're going to be so distraught about this newest co-worker situation that you can't possibly concentrate on having the date tomorrow night. Hmm...

"Talk" implies a level of tolerance. I can't stand the noise of sports on TV! Back home soccer used to put me to sleep nicely, though. Go figure... There's something soothing and monotonous to the soccer commentators and the crowds also make monotonous noises - they sound like lullaby songs!

P.S. How did I do that?! I meant to quote Jays.

Tonight in KY they'll be talking about their college basketball team getting beaten by the Gamecocks.
