Firstly.

Secondly,
At no point in the post does the OP imply that the man in question is stalking, or obsessive about his ex, just that he would take her back again.

Does nobody actually read these things ??????
So, the OP's friend is saying that even with his prize stable of fillies he would gladly give 'em all up if his ex would only take him back? Good, so the point is he's still in love with his ex and would end his philandering w/o a 2nd thought if he were to get another shot at the REAL thing. Maybe. That may be a sincere sentiment or it may not. In either event, it's not anything that resembles a unique or even a special condition. Assuming he's sincere, he's carrying a torch and playing the field in the meantime. The only other possibility is the OP's friend is using undying love as an excuse to play. Since I can't have her, I have no reason to settle down. "If I can't have you, I don 't want nobody baby, if I can't have you..."

EDIT: Maybe people expanded the conversation because there was so little to consider.

What do you think?
It's absolutely the truth. Watch what men DO, not what they SAY.

If a man truly wants you, nothing can keep him away

I don't believe this to necessarily be true. I've seen many egos get in the way of pursuing the opposite sex.

It might have been true once, but we have stalking laws now...
