..Date, or get involved with a guy who did not have..or has had his License revoked?...
Earlier this morning while on the way to a job site, this question was asked by a woman who had called into a local talk show on the radio..
The basic situation posed was she had met this guy she found she was very attracted to..They went out on a date..but, she had to pick him up since he had had his license revoked..but would not tell her why..
The woman host said she wouldn't proceed with this guy, if it were her in the situation.. the male hosts were fine with the idea.
A caller stated that she was dating someone who had his revoked..at the age of 22..and would not get it back until he was about 30 or so... he was currently 24..and she stated that this wasn't a problem for her (him not having his license/having it revoked)
She didn't say what had happened..but, i thought about this, from the reverse..and thought id ask the women here what your thoughts would be on such a situation..is it a deal breaker?...I can't imagine most women wanting to have to pick up their boyfriend.. to go out, hang out..or what ever but, that is why i wanted to pose the question..
Gentlemen, chime in as well..
Me myself, it is a deal breaker..but that is just me..
I wouldn't want to end up being a taxi and I would want to know why he had his license taken away. If he is an alcoholic, I'm running in the other direction.
Depends on the circumstances. I've had my license suspended before because of too many speeding tickets. Should I be penalized for the rest of my life because of these infractions? Just because a license has been suspended or revoked does not mean the person is a felon or that they've killed somebody.
He might be an alcoholic, he might have a heap load of parking tickets, he might be a perpetual speeder with too many tickets to insure. He might have unpaid traffic tickets - therefore he might have been cited for driving on a suspended license.
He might have a medical condition that prevents him from driving, also.
I agree, I want a SO or a husband who can drive me around if I choose not to. The stress of always having to drive someone else at this point in my life is a dealbreaker for me.
For me, it would raise some serious red flags. I would need to know why and if it's not so bad, then I would be ok with it. It certainly would be inconvenient though, I don't want to be the designated driver all the time.

Like TT, it depends on the circumstances. How long would they be without the license and why?

Make sense, excess parking/speeding tickets..medical conditions.. forgivable..within reason of course..
What if, when you asked, he would not tell you..or dodged the question?..from what the person posing the question was saying, she had raised the question, and he would not answer..yet, as she stated, she had an amazing time with him..
