But the juxtaposition is the funny part, no? At least, I thought so when I posted it...

Well, it is kind of amusing to imagine people with male anatomy cooing over shoes and babies while people with female anatomy drool over the latest car mags and go nuts over sports teams (total stereotypes, but hey isn't that what we are speculating on here )

And you think men don't do that now? You haven't met many black or hispanic dads have you?

I think, there would be an awful lot of hungry men out there...

I don't know. I can be pretty guyish already with my emotions. I certainly have my moments though.

It would be nice for man to experience feelings of betrayal from a female emotional perspective though. I think it would be different.

I do, but I have never been shoe shopping with them. You are spot on about the babies, though. I should have picked another stereotypic item for them to coo over

Why? I did just fine before I was married. I make kick-ass sandwiches and a mean breakfast. It was also fun experimenting with dinner. All you need to know how to cook is to know how to follow written istructions (a recipe) so that's no big deal. Remember, the world's greatest chefs are ALL men.

Well, my dad owns more shoes than my mom does and he is a very stereotypical male. He was a professional athelete before I came along, he loves ALL sports (he'll even watch figure skating before he tries looking for another type of show to watch), doesn't know how to boil water and just recenlty started helping my mother to clean the house.

My closest friend from work is a dad and he pretty much collects shoes and outfits to match. This guy, who is a blue collar worker like me, never goes out of the house unless he is clean shaven or has shaped his beard, has a current hair cut, his clothes are ironed so that there isn't a single wrinkle in them (even tee shirts) and every stich of clothing always matches his shoes.

These aren't metro sexual guys who spend time at the day spa or get manicures that I'm talking about here and they love shoes and babies. Somebody once told me, "The guys with the hardest exteriors are usually the ones with the softest hearts." I think they were right.

I don't know, man...a guy who won't leave the house without looking perfect doesn't qualify in my book as having a "hard exterior"...

...or is that stereotyping?

I guess we all would end up with pink socks and underwear!

LOL!

Hey - I rarely ever do that!

...mainly 'cause I don't wear socks or underwear. Or is that too much detail?
