I heard craig's list has some pretty upstanding fellers. Some even hobby model train sets.

himain - this is the second time you've attempted since August? Online dating is no different than, well, real dating - it takes time.

I've done match and met some nice guys - never had a problem with the pics not being a good representation. You can usually tell fairly easily based on their profiles who takes it seriously and who is using the site for....other purposes.

I also tried and failed with eharmony. Nothing good ever came out of that one. I think it has to do with my age and the ages of men I was searching for - not many used eharm - more have used match - probably a price thing. Plus with match you can break out of your 'matches' and find someone completely random if you want to.

Good luck with the coffee date!

Default maybe its in the name

If himain means high maintenance then you will draw losers, freaks and geeks....for a true man wants a woman who will walk next to him, not behind or in front....and will share just as many gifts of life with him as she does with her....maybe you ought to change your pen name to some like "wise woman" or "arm in arm"....or even just "low maintenance, high opportunity"

Coffee date was nice. He matched his pictures and we had a good conversation. Going out again? Good possibilty but I don't think anything will come of it..

Xube-My username does mean high maintenance. So what?? I don't use that on match.com..You really don't know what you're talking about so please stop

So I'm just wondering...if you don't think anything will come of it, why go out again? You sound fairly sure it's a dead end, or am I reading that wrong?

Truly, just curious. No malicious 'women use guys for a free meal' shtick here.

We could go out as friends and have a nice conversation, etc but I don't see myself getting romantically or sexually involved with him. Just because that's not going to happen, doesn't mean we can't get together for some drinks..

I trust he knows that too. I'm sure you wouldn't want him to feel mislead.

Thank you, well said. I think that's what I was trying to get at in a less concise way.
