my first buddy cant swim so that rules him out of the 2nd one. 2nd race seems so much cooler. they got barbed wire you gotta crawl through, running up a mountain, fire shooting at you and all kinds of badass stuff for 7 miles! i wanna blow off the first race for the 2nd one but i already agreed to go.

what to do ?!

Sounds like one of the easier days in Military Basic Training.

That would still be blowing off "bro" #1. He didn't make the promise to TRAIN with him, he made the promise to RACE/compete with him.

I'd be unhappy.

Take out a sword and tell your friends you're going to split yourself in two. The one that cries out that the other one can have you, is the one that is your real friend and truly loves you.

You can totally do a 10 miler after 6 days. You might not be able to make as good a time as normal, but you can do it and not let down the first guy. After all, you said you'd run, but you didn't say how fast you would go
