I've talked to someone online a couple times in the past month or so. Both times he shows interest and then disappears. Whether it is because he's really busy or he just meets someone else more interesting I have no idea. This morning I said to him that I wanted someone that would make the effort, and/or someone that has an attention span of more than 10 minutes.

I wouldn't find them offensive as the truth hurts and in most cases is the best approach. Why beat around the bush? Say what you want to say the first time and there isn't any confusion on what you meant. BTW, you could have told him to pick a finger! Guess which one?LMAO...........
He may not even have taken it as directed toward him - it sounds like you were just tossing out your general criterea and being specific and giving him enough to digest and respond as to whether he was that person or not.
After exchanging about 10 emails, he still insisted on calling me "right now" rather than doing as I asked and call me later after the kids went to bed. When I ignored his persistence and started talking about something else, he stopped responding.
I just sent him another message saying "hmm 9 minutes and 12 seconds, typical". I'm just gonna have fun with it, because I get the feeling he's one of those people that when he doesn't get his own way, he loses interest pretty quickly. It's obviously he doesn't know me. hahaha.

his insistance at calling you"right now" shows no respect for you or your family....he is about himself first....you are dead last.......keep looking
I have to admit that the statement in the OP would sound a little harsh but after reading about this guy and the way he behaves it's probably appropriate. I think you should just dump this dog and move on to somebody else.

Not offensive at all.
Just bluntly stating your preferences.
To me thats an attractive quality in a woman.
What about the statements I said to him? Would you find them offensive?
Mikey likes it!
