^I understand that...

Last Christmas, I sent a notice that included the phrase: "...however you choose to celebrate, or not celebrate, the holiday season, I hope this finds you happy, healthy, and at peace."

And basically, that was the whole message, since I don't usually get into discussions with other people about their beliefs. Like I said above, even though I have a belief system, I may not agree with all the tenets of the associated religion, and I do not usually attend services, or actively pursue it (or others). It's more of a passive thing.

She even told me I didn't have to get her a cake, but she appreciated the one I went ahead and made for her (of course, I had a few pieces of it myself!). I did that on the weekend, but her actual birthday was Tuesday.

Yesterday, I had missed a bus (instead of being in the queue, it was double parked behind another bus, and I didn't see it until it pulled away), so I called and asked if she could give me a ride the rest of the way. She said she wasn't feeling so hot, so maybe her boyfriend could give me a ride. Either way, I was going to have to cough up some cash. Less than a taxi maybe, but close.

Anyway, he came and gave me a ride, and showed me a text he got from her on his phone. He has problems remembering things due to a head injury (I had a head injury, and I'm actually great at remembering things). Anyway, she told him something like, "Nice, you couldn't even send me a text wishing me a Happy Birthday".

But then again, she'd always told me that she didn't want people making a fuss over it! And he didn't--he honestly forgot--and she was upset.

Why would people say, "Don't make a fuss," and then get mad because you didn't?
lol because thats how we, woman, are. We say dont make a fuss but really wed like it if you did

Ask and you shall receive. It's her own fault for playing games. I'd say get rid of her and find someone else.
