The people I was with after my divorce, none of them had dogs. One of them had cats. Mostly no pets. I don't think I was consciously filtering for that, but it really is for the best. I've got a cat, and I don't really want to deal with another pet since I'm a renter and expected to be that way for a while, and most places charge pet rent. Fiance didn't have any pets, but he likes cats and was fine with having one around.
But while I like dogs if it's someone else's dog and I'm just visiting, I don't like them in the sense of wanting to have one. The training, walking, and so on. Not really my deal. I can be lazy with my cat and still be doing perfectly right by him, in fact he inspires me to take naps.
For moms both with & without college degrees, those who first gave birth younger than 25 had the most lifetime labor income loss, whereas women who started having kids after 31 had more financial gain.
Single mothers are on look out for the provider types who are ok with being at the end of the list of her priorities. You just cannot trust her sincerity even when, for whatever weird reason, you are ok with being a cash doormat.

Such a lame generalization, as well as being complete crap.

Sigh.... I've seen this rhetoric on this board for years now, it typically comes from a pretty obvious mean spirited place. Does what you say exist, yeah, I'm sure, I'm sure somewhere some single mother has plotted to snag a guy to provide for her.
If we're being intellectually honest here we could also say that many many women don't play this game.
I wished that more people could just be objective and rational and for god sake people need to stop generalizing so much, men or women.

It's boring as hell.
Yep. There will always be users out there, but there are plenty of single mothers who have their acts together, who coparent their kid(s) with their ex just fine, and who are looking for someone to date for fun and companionship, no ulterior motive.
