Sometimes it's better to meet people on facebook...b/c it shows you mutual friends, if any. If you have any mutual friends, you can ask that friend about the person. It's easier to meet people through friends.

Right on. Personally, haven't dealt with "dating" on Facebook but the people in my circle of friends all know each other & there would be no big surprises. Actually, have gotten friend requests from people I might want to date but we all know each other prior to the request.

She's showing interest in you and you're concerned? hmmmmmm. So what if she's eager? If she comes across as needy when you meet her and you just don't feel a good vibe, say goodbye and move on to the next lady in you life.

And about similarities to TVSG, I'm wary of internet dating.

i don't want to be some crime statistic if i did.

I should be grateful she is showing interest, but I don't know her. this is why it seems uncomfortable.

So you met her through FB groups and she's not on your friends list, right?

Maybe if you're interested in getting to know her, you could add her to your list and see how that goes Of course that could really have a negative affect too.

And if you're not interested in getting to know her, just don't reply to any more of her messages

I think I will chat with her more, and get to know her better. I guess in life we should always trust our instincts, and mine were telling me not to agree to meet. yet.
