That's all. Just a rant for friends, dates, or whoever who take a day to reply to a text, when it only takes 30 seconds. Then when you are hanging out with them they are checking their I Phones every 3 minutes and texting/emailing other people in front of you. I just realized I am too busy to text these people back now. Maybe I'll find some time when I'm on the toilet.

This is a bit childish IMO. I mean, sometimes I am in the shower, or in bed, or leave my phone at home when I`m shopping. I, personally, may not get my call, or text until later...

Does this happen to you alot? If so, why don`t you try to call them again, if they don`t answer when you want them to, or throw them another text? Some people don`t hear the phone, or is busy at that moment, ya` know? The next day is cool....

Some people aren't glued to their phones and have more important things to do than sit around waiting to receive text messages Not to mention that technology is not perfect - I've had instances before where I'll send text messages but the person doesn't receive them until much later and vice versa.

If it's something important then call them and leave a voicemail, but if someone doesn't take the time to respond to "what's up?" in a timely manner because they're busy at work, at school, studying, out with friends, asleep, in the shower, doing a hobby...etc don't take it so personally.

I'm talking about people who are glued to their phones and have acess to text and email practically 24/7. I'm not texting every day, just every few days. They are glued to their phones whenever I am around them, taking calls during dinner, social texting and emailing all of the time. It's not about having time. They simply haven't gotten bored enough to respond.

That would make sense once in a while, but I actually have never not gotten a text that I know of. I know it can happen, but not most the time. I'm probably more reliable than most people and I guess I am tired of putting effort into relationships, when other people can't find one free minute a day.

Then just stop.

I should add.....stop texting them and calling. Get on with your life, and try to stop worrying so much about what others are doing with their life! More fun and less stress that way!

That's what I'm doing, somewhat. I've known them for 5 yrs, so I'm not going to banish them from my life. I'm just not going to put as much effort out there. I actually didn't respond to a text they sent this morning, only because they took forever to respond to mine a few times in a row. The text was something like " let's talk soon" Uh ok, then call.

I already said that it is rude to be on your I phone during half of dinner and they made a joke of it. Oh, well, people are who they are and I will just not put my energy into maintaining it. I'm the one who always checks up on plans we've made. I got tired of that too. We had plans on either Weds or Thurs this week and I just let the days go by and nothing happened.
