I know a number of people who are dating men and woman via the personal ads. Their main complaint is that few people have any interest in what they have to say. The people try to be interesting and talk about general topics most people would be interested in but the partner in the blind date appears bored and this unnerves them. They seemed seem bored to death.
Do you find that when you meet new people for dating or possible friendship that they seem all that interested in what you have to say? Or are they self absorbed?

Some are interested and others are not.
Seems to be a case by case thing.
More that a person is not just interested in the other person rather than the conversation.

I hate blind dates for that reason. There's too much pressure to make a good impression, and that makes conversation strained. It's hard to relax and focus on the other person when you're self-conscious and feeling like you're being graded. I realize it's not this way for everyone, but it's happened a few times to me, and I don't want to go there again.

If I am on a date and he is uninterested in what I have to say, the date ends quickly.

No one (female) ever cares or is interested in what Rugged has to say! It's a fact of life and I am used to it. Men love me and women hate me!LOL..........     |

I agree, it varies. I have had some great conversations, even if we knew it wasn't going anywhere. I think blind dates have great potential as far as conversation goes. There's plenty to find out about one another.

Blind dates usually suck. I had one in early college, my best friend thought just because i was an artist, that I would like this other artist.No some artist are creepy. lol And the other date mid 20's didn't like me because I danced!(Oh for cripes sake!) |
