So I'm a member of Match. In my searching, I have come across a profile of a guy I'm pretty sure is someone I went to elementary school with (I'm 24 now). I just thought it was funny, didn't really think anything of it.
Got an email via the site from him tonight. Supposedly it's his first email he's sent. I don't think he's made the connection. I about died laughing.
Funny thing is, I might be interested. I didn't have the heart to give him the brush off, but at the same time, you can't keep something like that a secret and then have it randomly come up later! So I told him I suspect we used to know each other...but I'll let him figure out if he remembers me.
Is that weird? What would you have done? Keep in mind, I didn't keep in contact with anyone when I moved away from there in 5th grade...but to add a little weirdness, I totally had a crush on him back then...
My first reaction would be this is no big deal, really. There is no reason to start worrying about what he might think. Just be honest, and have fun. Good luck!!
That would be quite a coincidence. Who knows, maybe something good will come of it. I think I would have just explained who you are but it's no big deal. I had some severe crushes on girls at that age that almost caused me to become an obsessed mental midget but I finally got over them. Good luck!
