Redesca--I spell a word however I want, I'm not beholden to someone else's spelling.

Actually, Shakespeare was well known for spelling words in a variety of ways. He didn't even spell his own name the same way twice.

wow. i don't know what to say. i wish i knew your friends. ' sex and the city ' was an obsession 3-5 years ago with women i knew, and somewhat still today. oprah wasn't an obsession, but rather someone whose opinion was taken as infallible.

i recall one time, cricizing Oprah in front of a group of female acquaintances, and the look of horror and disgust on their faces, like: Who was I to question Oprah?

Yes us women have it tough in a LOT of ways, but I think men do as well. Some women seem to think that when they marry/get into a ltr with a man they suddenly become his mother.
Ive found many men do want us to be their mothers. They WANT us to tell them what to do, they want us to cook for them, pick up after them and baby them when they feel bad.

Not saying anything bad against the poster by the way, just using it as an example.

Yes us women have it tough in a LOT of ways, but I think men do as well. Some women seem to think that when they marry/get into a ltr with a man they suddenly become his mother.

Another girlfriend of mine recently told me that she had asked her boyfriend to get rid of his porn and he had gotten mad with her. I told her I didn't blame him!!! She loves Sex and the City so I said if he came to you and asked you to throw out all your seasons of SATC and never watch it again because the characters' constant bashing of men made him uncomfortble, would you??? She said no! I know it's not quite the same thing, but a sacrifice is a sacrifice.

In my case it's not fair to ask my man to get rid of something I probably enjoy more than he does lol! He is a grown man and can do whatever the hell he likes. Porn doesn't hurt anyone and as long as it isn't of 7 year old boys, I personally couldn't give a rats.

If a man goes on a show like Oprah and says he cheated on his wife because he doesn't find her attractive anymore because she has put on weight, he is almost booed out of the studio, but take a woman who says the same thing about her husband and she is somewhat praised! "oh you go girl, what are you supposed to do, he should have made more of an effort" etc etc.

Thoughts?

I think Gorilla has something here...

She's not monkeying around...

I will agree that many women today complain way too much. They have raised the bar so high that many men are miserable.

Complain, complain, complain.

In a sense, it is nice to hear a woman who agrees that some women take their complains to a level that a man cannot even fix, like snoring.

If we would find something nice to compliment our mate it would make things alot better. Something that stands out that would make them feel good.

I tell my wife she is a great cook all the time. That might be the only thing but I keep telling her that hoping something else will come up that I can use that. So far I am still looking...

I think this is a good post and we all can learn to quit complaining.
