Is just sitting back and staying quiet probably the best idea in this situation? Would I just look like a jerk if I even hinted anything? Are women typically oblivious to the fact at these guys' intentions or do they like the ego boost? Or do they just kind of say they'll wait until they really say something?

My bestfriend is a guy. Guys make better bf then women do.

It really shouldn't be a problem. If you can't trust your wife, you have no business being married to her. I would never make my wife ditch her male friends just because of my own insecurity. Life is too short to worry about these things. If someone is going to cheat on you, they'll do it anyway.
