Most Iranians aren't Muslims, they are rafidah Shia, they don't follow Sunni Islam. They worship their Imams, graves, and shrines, which is considered shirk in Islam, and it is the most major sin.

Catman, as a one-time dedicated Republican, fresh off the new immigrant bandwagon, (hating socialism as I do, I signed up as a Republican immediately after my naturalization ceremony, right outside the LA coliseum, along with throngs of others who had escaped their homeland's rampant socialism/communism or religious thuggocracies!)

I'm still not totally OK with Britain and the UN just confiscating part of Palestine in 1949 and giving it to the homeless Jewish throngs. I know; I know; where were they supposed to go, and there's claims that this was, after all, their ancestral homelands. I'm not clear on any of it: I need a good unbiased documentary and historical discussion.

BTW, now I'm a sort of libertarian/liberal/fiscal conservative but with strong orientation towards an effective national defense capability, environmental stewardship and allocation of true ecological costs built into any and every product or service, a country bristling with the very best military technology, a good space program, and keeping our institutions absolutely secular. Hardly a by-the-book Republican position, to be sure.

But our national fervent fiscal participation in Israels' future is rather one-sided wouldn't you agree, and is a thorny problem for me. If America's Jewish population wants to support the homeland, let them! They can send their contributions over there all day long.

But sending my tax dollars to Israel, while those Palestinians have to watch the Israelis build on areas they promised not to? And attack the Palestinians recklessly and weekly? And they then get to use our latest military technology & intel to "whup ass" on the less well equipped. What's with that? Are the Israelis just blustering and profiling for a fight?

Surely
this is not just to protect our fossil fuel interests in the ME... say it isn't so!

I agree with one of my good and more political friends: Israel, surrounded by thuggist god-ocracies like Iran, has the very real potential to get us all killed by their fervent nationalism and penchant for retaliatory violence. Before that final "all dead" ME End-Times scenario however, I'd expect Israel to level Iran, Syria, Libya and possibly Egypt and Saudi Arabia. ZAP- gone! No survivors, no winners.

Say: what if we just alternate our support each year with our aid: year one to Israel, year two to Palestine, along with some high-end military technology and intel, then back to Israel the next year, and so forth? Then, after about ten years of this, we just cease any and all of it and tell them to go play together properly!

Peace through mutual assured destruction?

My saying that I understand why Israelis would feel paranoid was meant in no way to signify that I am 100% behind eveything they have done and are doing. I agree totally with your uneasiness concerning the 1948 creation of the Jewish state...from the point of view of the inhabitants, it had to be a great wrong. I prefer not to be on either side, since they are both so tainted with cruelty. The blind firing of rockets into Israel, which has been going on for years, is reprehensible, but so is the stoppage of relief vessels for the Palestinians who are running out of food, water and medical supplies. Not to mention the West Bank expansion of Israeli settlements.

As I said, as long as that region, especially Jerusalem, is thought of as 'holy' by competing religions and people, it will be a thorn in the side of a peaceful resolution. I wouldn't be at all surprised if the next major war begins there. "And in the blue corner..."!

What is this? They are not true Muslims argument? Shia Islam is based on the teachings of the Islamic holy book, the Qur'an and the message of the final prophet of Islam, Muhammad...How are they not Muslims?

Is this why so many Muslim deaths? Shias killing Sunnis and vice versa?

Both the Shia and the Sunna are Muslims.

But most of those following the sects (whether of the Shia or the Sunna) are in error and misguidance; because God did not reveal the sects; He only revealed the Quran and commanded the Muslim nation is one nation that should be devoted to God alone with submission and obedience.

These Sunni and Shiei have gone astray from the way of the Quran and the devotion to God alone and they accuse each other that they are wrong and they themselves are correct.

This is in the Quran 2: 113

The explanation:

(Jews say, 'Christians stand on no [sound base]';
and Christians say, 'Jews stand on no [sound base]',
and yet they [both] read the Scripture [: the Bible.]

Similarly, those [pagan Arabs] – who know not [the Scripture] – say like their saying;

but God shall decide judgment between them on the Doomsday about their variations.)

God gives hand to some wrong-doers against other wrong-doers, then will take revenge of the latter also.

Like He brought Nabuchodonosor the idolater against the Jews in the past to punish them; then He took revenge of the idolater later on.

And God brings the wild beast on the idolaters and associaters to devor them in addition to many other kinds of chastisement and punishment: like hurricanes, economic difficulties, AIDS and plagues and epidemics ...etc.

God – be glorified – said in the Quran 6: 65
The explanation:

(Say [Mohammed to the idolaters]: He [God Almighty] is All-Able to send forth upon you, [associaters,] chastisement:

>> from above you [like storms, hurricanes and plagues]
>> or from under your feet [like earthquakes, volcanoes and floods],
>> or to confuse you in sects and to make you suffer of the violence of one another [conflicts and wars will take place.]

Behold [ Mohammed] how We turn about the revelations; haply that they may understand.)

Israel has stolen Arab lands and want to take over the lands of the Arabs

To go back to history and see how the Zionist movement began

500 villages stolen and claims it is Israel!! How can has the right to exist then

Israel began brutally And still destroyed

I know there will be very trouble
