Do the muslims on this board know how to do anything that isn't trying to 'convert the infidels.' I can't remember one thread started by a muslim that didn't involve proselytizing.

They're told to do so under sharia, plain and simple. Any criticism of their religion is met with shock and horror, as that is typically illegal (as is proselytizing TO muslims).
In other words, all of their actions are par for the course. All we can do is choose to completely ignore all further islamic threads and not give them the time of day.
Let them argue amongst themselves--exclusively--for a change.
I have nothing against anyone believing what they want to believe...but I do have a problem with every single member of a certain belief system attempting to dictate everyone else's beliefs, and a group effort to spread disinformation and proselytizing materials with no respect for honest discourse. Recent threads and posts have left me very concerned as to motive of certain individuals and/or their culture/religion as a whole.
Respect is most definitely a TWO-WAY street, or it is not respect at all.
Q. to imanway: do you honestly consider this a "great video"? Really? Full of compelling arguments, irrefutable evidence and inspiring philosophical commentary?
Then I guess you don't get out much, huh? To the Library? Or to watch The Discovery Channel, or National Geographic or History or...
honestly, your video is but a bit of self-aggrandizing non-scientific fluff, frankly. Their own assessment of the Qu'ran's vast scientific knowledge and content is fundamentally incorrect.
Example: the comparison between a leech's and a human embryo's structures as "amazing" (yeah; that's the word he used as I recall) is somehow convincing that Allah knew all about reproductive science?
And if Mohammed the Illiterate did have such an advanced understanding, why then did he allow such mistakes and educational errors in the illiterates who trailed along behind him so obediently?
As well, those who are really convinced do not have to read, with stumbling, muttered corrections, right off the page in front of them. They should know their topic intimately and present it with some enthusiasm and drive, not just rote-chanting it like there's a gun to their back. Frankly, as a career scientist who has done more than a few presentations,
I know when a presenter knows his or her stuff, and when they are just being political or religious. These guys, in your video, don't make the grade. They are just proselytizing for their own "wooden god", Allah.
Come on now! Come ON! Get real.
An honest suggestion: Try watching some of Carl Sagan's and Stephen Hawking's considerations some time to see how it's done, by people who actually know the science. Who knows; it may stimulate you to think for yourself. But A WARNING: don't let your "superiors" know that; they'll drag you out into the streets. Here's a good starting point. Watch it if you dare, and let me know your thoughts, by DM, if you choose.
