New Earth? (exist, science, organizations, Universe)

New Earth-like planet discovered | Science | The Guardian


I am baffled this is not discussed here. But DO take note, thatt he science WILD imagination is at work again. They envision this planet as like the earth. It fooled me because from the videos I seen in youtube, it is so very much like the earth. But in reality, scientists has no way to describe what it really looks like. Plus, what's the point? The way to go to and from that planet will take 40 yrs earth time sooooo.

It only makes sense for astronomers to attempt to identify planets that occupy a space in their solar system similar to earth which isn't too extreme so that the possibility of life exists. In fact one of the top priorities in organizations like NASA is to look for life because it's probably the most interesting phenomenon in the universe. It's true that we can't take a quick trip to one of these planets but this is clearly a step forward in progress.
