The point is, "they" can admit when they're wrong and then find a better solution.

Unlike most deists, and apparantly also atheists, I'm a nation / religion of 1.
So can't speak for other people.

BTW do you truly believe that science would still exist if all of reality suddenly stopped existing?
If so science is indeed stronger than any other deity.
So, you don't eat? Have clean drinking water? Never had need for an antibiotic? Use a heater or AC? Drive a car? Watch TV? Use a computer?

HUH? There is no Neanderthal DNA in modern humans. Sapiens and Neanderthals evolved into two different clades. Sapiens made it. Neanderthals didn't.

Christians can make such assumptions, because the Book we follow has been proven correct both in it's history, and it's prophecy. Science only has it's theories.

I don't discount the possibility of a god or gods. I hope you are right to be honest. But, faith in any religion doesn't require folk to be ignorant and the statement above is ignorant. You know what a scientific theory is. I'm pretty sure it's been explained to you.

But meanwhile, they try to act like their word is fact.

I'm sure that they guaranteed people that it was stress causing ulcers and not an organism. When you don't know, you don't know.

Will it rain tomorrow? Maybe.

Let's say that hypothetically, tomorrow I discover underground oil reserves in my backyard. That would mean that I DISCOVERED the presence of oil in my yard, not that I CREATED the oil.

I don't even know why this is a topic of discussion. Open a dictionary.

But discovering oil isn't scientific.

The interest in oil, perhaps, is. And is something created by man--the interest in trying to explain the world.

I couldn't care less.

I've been trying to think of how to say this.

Neptune...isn't science. However, astronomy IS. And man created astronomy.
