OMG...practically no one can explain how the earth got here. All we have are theories. Just because religious books make up random answers and stories to explain it means nothing.

My god I can make up a story right now and I bet within 50 years I'd have a solid new religion if I took it seriously.

Religion provides the most logical explanation. God created everything.

atheism on the other hand, can't explain who created the 1st atom? Therefore your theory doesn't hold water. it changes all the time, sometimes twice a year. That is lame.

That's not an explanation. It's a just-so story. It gives us no insight into how the process worked, what caused it, or anything else. It's admitting that the entire universe works on the random whims of a mysterious god. That's pretty much the opposite of understanding how the world works.

Which religion? Which God?

And Bill Maher actually said he didnt know, which is far more truthful than a statement of fact that the God of the Bible did it.

Logic has very little to do with it, in point of fact it is the most illogical explanation. Easier, more convenient, simpler, but not logical.

ummm, sure. Do you mean the theory of Relativity that allows you to have a GPS system? Or the theory of Genetic Evolution that enable doctors to save lives? How about the theory of Quantum Mechanics that allows you to type the words on the computer screen you are staring at right now?

Boy, if you think that for something to be true, it must be unchangeable is ridiculous. I find that seems to be the mindset of many, many religious people.
