That's like saying:I would like to live in the USA, but not if it meant I had to respect the govenment and obey the laws of the land.
Five years of college and I see the evidence for God all around me. Sorry, but some folk dismiss the evidence. But really that point is for another thread.
Reality sucks, but what choice do we really have?
I wasn't arguing for the evidence of God. Only that a person could not believe the evidence supported belief in God at the same time they were happy not to be forced to worship a God. That's what I needed your five years of college to help you understand.
Well, you can be a slave to yourself (not recommended) or a slave to something much higher than yourself. We all serve something. What exactly do you mean when you say "worship?"
That stuff you do every Sunday is painful to me. I would rather be water-boarded.
What's more depressing is that some people around might agree.
Many of us agree, and throwing off the shackles of religion is exhilarating and empowering, not depressing....I'm sorry that it depresses you that so many of us have done just that, but hey, you are free to do the same.

That my friend is what worship is about.
So you only have to say it once and then the worship is done? We're talking about maybe 5 minutes of sincere thanks and then it's done?
Or are you expected to carry on and on... talking about how great God is for ever and ever - FOR ETERNITY!!!! How boring is that?
