If you've heard the term "electron cloud", you would realize that your vaunted scientists do not know for certain where the electrons in an atom are.

Nope.

If the people making the premises can't be trusted with having knowledge, why should anyone trust them for what they espouse?

I believe that very little can be known. I have doubts about my own existence.
