Why do you believe there is a heaven?

Is this belief true and deep seated, or do you believe in mythology to help you sleep better at night...

I believe there is a Heaven, because I believe there is a God. I also believe that heaven is a physical place, and not some realm full of disembodied spirits. According to the Bible, the physical location of Heaven will be moved to this earth once it is made new.

Where is heaven now? And where will heaven be moved to?

It is my belief that Heaven is relatively close, existing just beyond the the three stars that form the belt in the Orion constellation. As to where heaven will be moved to, I stated in my post that the Bible makes it clear that after the final judgement, This earth will be destroyed and recreated as it was originally intended to be. At that time God will move His heavenly throne to this New Earth.

Good, now we have some numbers to work with. Let's start with the speed of light. 186,000 miles per second. So, what is a light year?
186,000 miles per second X 60 seconds in a minute X 60 minutes in an hour X 24 hours in a day X 365 days in a year. Pretty staggering when you do the math for one light year. The stars that make up Orions belt are:

Alnitak - 800 light years away
Alnilam - 1340 light years away
Mintaka - 915 light years away

They ain't exactly in the same neighborhood, so where precisely is heaven and how do you know it?
When you're done ciphering them numbers I would appreciate a approximate location (GPS is fine) of where the new throne will be.

Does it matter if there isn't? So then there's no harm in expecting one, I would suppose.

There's supposed to something called the American Dream. I've never seen it but does it hurt anyone to have the dream?

I would rather believe in the existence of a heaven than that of a hell. Do you believe hell is nonsense as well? If hell is a real place, I would prefer the non-existence of both to even things out.

I was just curious about peoples thoughts and logic on the subject. I thought the "American Dream" had more to do with becoming successful - based off the "anything is possible in America" belief; than it did with religion.

I thought it was generally believed (from a religious standpoint), that one could not exist without the other. How could there be a heaven without a hell and vice versa? Again, from a religious perspective.

I believe in heaven and I also believe that until I die I will never be able to truly comprehend it, so I would have to say it is a "true" belief but not very "deep seated". I'm kind of going by what Jesus said about it since he would probably be most knowledgeable about it.

Will people from other planets and solar systems be allowed to come to the Earth Heaven? Or will each planet have it's own Heaven?

What does the bible say about life on other planets and in other solar systems?
