You follow the bible and support and worship a god that does these things. So if these things are not ok, how can you support this god.
You know, I belong to the Veteran's of Foreign Wars and I support MOST of what they do. I do not, and never have, supported EVERYTHING they do, yet I remain a member. Should I give up my membership there too? If I vote Democratic, should I quit doing that because they once had close ties to the Ku Klux Klan? Is membership in any organization, even a religion, dependent upon being able to support and understand 100% of what's gone on before?
No, it's not..or shouldn't be, yet that's what you're asking me to do or, at least, suggesting I ought to consider. You seem to be saying that though I cannot explain the mind of God, or know what He intended back then, I should put myself into a position to pass judgment on what He's done and reject Him because of it.
Thank you for the suggestion, but I don't believe I will. Who am I to judge God?
How many 'good christian people' here are speaking out against it? Your silence is deafening. If christians don't agree with what he is saying, there should be a concerted effort by christians to remove him from whatever position he has, and to discredit him for hate speech.
I don't see that happening. Christianity claims to hold the moral high ground, and points fingers at atheists as if we're the bad, evil, depraved ones. Why then are we the ones pointing out your hypocritical feet of clay? Why then, are you leaving it to us to fight against religious hate-speech? This mess belongs to christianity, but they're not taking care of it.
What would you have us do?
And, you know, that shoe fits on the other foot of clay as well. These Religion and Atheist boards are loaded with hyper-critical threads created for no other purpose than to judge and condemn Christian's, yet I don't see you or anyone else, coming to OUR defense when the prejudices and bigotries are displayed. Where are YOU when we are being wrongly condemned and vilified? Will YOU speak out against the purveyors of hatred?

Soldiers are human, God is not and is suppose to be perfect and loving. SO if it is not ok for a imperfect human ( that god made) to do these things, why is it ok for a perfect god. Wouldn't that mean that is should be ok for us. or is this a do as I say not as I do type of god?

You're asking me to join you in passing judgment on that eternal, perfect God from our vantage point as imperfect human beings.
I'd rather not as I'm not qualified to act as His judge.
An "eternal, perfect God" wouldn't demand that you do things which even an "imperfect" human can see as unethical. Why would this God make an "imperfect" human who has higher ethics than Himself?

I may see it as unethical from my, imperfect standpoint, but I cannot see it from His and neither can you. So, what gives any of us the right to sit in judgment of him? None of us are qualified to do so, are we? If so, HOW are we qualfied?

His standpoint, oh I would LOVE to know how he got to the point of smashing babies heads in. The excuses believers make for this god is really unbelievable. Thou shall not kill, unless your a god.

Show me examples of the persecution you claim to be suffering.
Bible is full or archaic nonsense, violence, hate and death. Cant pick and choose, although most believers do. Why would anyone want to read the thing twice!!!!!!
