Is the creation of MAN* perfect?

or

Is there an imperfection in MAN?

What is a perfect MAN?

Point out any imperfections.

*In this instance MAN means both men and women.

If you follow the belief that humanity disobeyed in the Garden, then no - humanity was not created "perfect" - for perfection precludes the possibility of imperfection. Unless one posits that disobedience to God's Will is part of "perfection", then we are stuck with the conclusion that humanity was created as flawed as we still are today, in all our human glory - we are not gods, after all.

Dualism and absolutes - gotta love 'em!

Do you agree?

God created man so that he could interact with God and be His Children ..... God is perfect , so he created man to be perfect Like God ....See God knew that Adam could not help the animals on the earth , and God knew that Adam had no power to be a child of the Living God ..... But man was chosen to be the one and only Children of God ..... So God made Adam in the image of God who is perfect ..... but satan deceived the man and satan is an adversary to God and God gave satan authority over Adam and Took Adams image of God away , which was the trees of life ..... See satan in NOT A CONJUNCTURE of ideas .... satan is a fallen angel who was once a Holy Angel of the Lord of Host of Angels , but God gave His angels their will and many rebelled and God put them out on the earth..... These fallen angels have a very limited power to manipulate animals and nature , as God cursed satan to be above the cattle and beast of the earth.... NOT below the cattle ...... So with this limited power over animals satan used it to make man imperfect , which man is still imperfect today still being deceived by the hoards of satan ..... Were Jesus died on the cross a innocent begotten Son of God and God Judged the corruption of Jesus death and put life on Jesus and all who will obey Jesus commands and be one with Jesus Christ..... Which will make those people who are one with Jesus the reborn image of God through God Spirit Who is perfect......

God did not create man. We evolved from the same common ancestor that our cousins the other great apes did, and we are certainly not perfect.

I got cousins and they ain't apes..well 'cept cousin Tom is a bit on the hairy side and he has a weak chin, but at any rate....

With that said, IMO God used the process of evolution to "create" humans. God created DNA and the physical laws of the universe. You probably know that DNA is basically a written code. A set of instructions. Written code is not the stuff of chance. Just sayin'.

I beg to differ...Your relatives and you included, hairy or not are indeed apes....We belong to the taxonomic family Hominidae, which includes gorillas, orangutans, chimpanzees and humans...This is a fact that you may not be comfortable with, but your discomfort, and incorrect spin on the DNA code, cannot change the truth.

False premise, for homo sapiens are not a creation but a species that evolved.

I have pondered the issue of the creation of man from a religious point of view and concluded that if I was God I would have created MAN as we are.

Free will (and freedom) is what makes the creation of MAN perfect. Because of free will we can choose the good path or the evil way. If we could not choose evil then we would be like programmed robots. IMHO, we need to have the freedom to make errors. If we could not make mistakes life could be quite boring.

Others think that the creation of MAN is imperfect because there is suffering in the world. Ivan from Brothers Karamazov struggled with this concept.

However, if we want free will we have to accept that some of us will have bad outcomes. A guaranteed perfect outcome for all would feel un-natural. Who would want to play golf if you make a birdie in every hole?

I agree that MAN evolve from the chimp and that we will likely evolve into another species. However, I am trying to look at this from a religious point of view.
