Religion is the enemy of true Christianity.
True Christianity says it is already done for you through Christ's death.
Religion says what you must do.
Two Points:
1) Christianity entails the principle of appeasing a God, and
2) Christianity says people must do something - believe in #1.
Therefore, according to your own standards Christianity is a religion.
religion is something based on a set of beliefs, if you agree with the beliefs you follow them and they become part of your life.. its just a bunch of thoughts that some are very attached to. its a way of life i guess, but it is not life itself. we are life beyond any beliefs

This is good...better than what I was going to say...I see religion as oppressive....having nothing to do with reality...a set of crutches for those who need something to hold onto,..something they can believe in...much easier than dealing with the sometimes hard truth and facts...religion offers a false comfort to assuage the many aches and pains in/of life.
I suppose if I had to define it, I'd say that it is belief in some supernatural agency which influences the way we lead out lives, but I suppose one could say that about Astrology, too.
