I and some of my friends think the journey of Noah lasted only for a short period: say only 2-3 days maximum.

The event was very rapid: the rain water came very profusely, and the fountains of the earth in that region gushed forth,

so the profuse rain water + the gushing forth of the earth fountains --> lead to the accumulation of large amounts of water in a short period --> leading to the drowning of the ungodly people of the disbeliever, and the Ark of Noah floated on the surface of water.

Then when people died as a whole and Noah and the believers were saved in the ark, the rain stopped and the earth swallowed its water, the water receded and the floating ark came to settle on the Judi mountain.

{So We opened the gates of heaven, with torrential water.

And made the earth gush forth with [a large number of springs];

so the water [of the sky and the earth] met for a decreed purpose [: to destroy Noah's people.]

And We bore him on [a vessel made] of planks [bound together] with the
ropes.
Which ran [upon the water] in Our sight, as a reward for him that was rejected.}

The above between brackets { } is the meaning of the Quran 54: 11-14

Then when the people were drowned within a short time, the water started to be absorbed by the ground, and the rain stopped, and so the water receded.

{And it was said [by the angels]:

"Earth, swallow your waters [so the waters went inside the earth, some went into the rivers and seas, and some evaporated];

and sky! be cleared [of clouds, and cease raining]"

And the waters [on the surface of the earth] were made to subside.

And the affair [of their drowning] was concluded.

And the [Ark] settled upon the [mount] Judi,

and it was said [by Noah and those with him]: "Away with the people of the wrong-doers."}

The above between brackets { } is the meaning of the Quran 11: 44

The deluge of Noah was limited to one country Iraq, and in particular to one region in that coutnry in the north of Iraq near Nineveh, where Noah and his people resided.

I saw Criss Angel walk on water (with a little help from plexiglas panels). Does that count?

Of all the major problems with the Noah and the Flood story, why would you pick the minor problem of scurvy?
