There in lies the real problem, the bible is just a collection of fables, phobias, lite porn and a great deal of bronze age ignorance.

The bible is totally baseless as an authority to say anything. After all would we all not already be dead for committing other sins it lists as punishable by death. Did you ever become defiant to your parents growing up? Then your dad failed in that he did not gather the town folk and take you to the edge of town and have you stoned to death.

Now all you have to figure out is "am I talking about what the bible says, or that some believe it, or both"

If that gay person feels he is committing sin then he/she is. Sin is a man made concept and the person committing the act determines if that act is sin or not. There is no divine being that cares what you do with your winky or where you put it.

Hint to US bigots, when SA allowed gay marriage, contrary to all the Chicken Little doomsayers, the sky did not fall. Churches did not have to marry gays, nothing changed other than the gay protests/picketing stopped.
