I thought that the bible actually said you should not lie with man AS you would lie with a woman. Which is perfectly obvious in some respects given they are not women so whatever you do with them as a man is by necessity going to be somewhat different.
ITs always been a sticking point for me that there is something of a difference between telling someone "Do NOT do X" and "Do not do X like that". The latter clearly is not telling you not to do X at all and yet is this not how the bible phrased it?? So why do people act like it said the former?
Thankfully I see no reason to think there is a god or that the bible is an authority on ANYTHING so it is not my issue to decipher that nonsense and build modern morality out of it. Worse when anyone tries to translate their imagined biblical mandates into modern secular thought none of them at all seem to come up with any arguments as to why there is, or could be, anything wrong with being homosexual or engaging in homosexual acts. Especially given many "homosexual acts" are things that many of us heterosexuals perform pretty often ourselves.
