Yet if it could be determined that it did, or pick another creature evolving from something far simpler, would you accept that or deny it?

I'm not objecting to things that happen. What would be the point of that? If it happens, it happens. But for a fish to evolve into a tiger, growing 4 legs, developing lungs, claws, fur, a tail (over millions/billions of years, given all the right conditions and mutations) hasn't been proven, and IMO never will be. This, to me, is clearly out of the realm of possibility, no matter how long it takes. You see all the links (with some missing) and the path that it took, and you place them in order, but I see those "links" as a creature created at the beginning by God.

Using (what I can make of) your line of reasoning, I could claim that all three-bedroom houses were built by the same "creator," because they all share similar characteristics. Following that, I could claim that motorcycles and stereo receivers must have been built by different creators because they don't share similar characteristics. Neither of these claims would be true, so please describe the reasoning you are using.

Sorry. Shared characteristics are not proof, in so far, of a shared Creator. I simply believe that one Creator created a variety of species, with many of them having shared characteristics. (a tree and a rose have leaves, an elephant and a cat both have two eyes, etc.)
