Is that true or are they all just widely claimed by atheists? I know a majority would be but there must be a certain few who are not? Just asking. I understand it really doesn't matter just wondering.

You will find scientists from every life style and belief or non-belief. I do not know what the percentages are, but I suspect many American and European scientists will be Atheists.

I am no scientist obviously. Just a regular religious person. I am kind jelious of atheists. Because apparently if you are religious you're automatically classified as a mental idiot. Can someone list the name of a modern scientist who is not an atheist. Maybe someone I can look up to?

Not all are atheists. Actually, our department is about 50-50, though it's mostly our chemists that are theist of some sort (mostly Christian but not all of them). Speaking of that, Eugenie Scott of the NCSE did a talk recently about chemists. It was blogged about here: Why are So Many Chemists Creationists?

I am not a "Scientist" but I am a person of science, and I am NOT an Atheist.

The two are NOT exclusive.

No.

Many people and scientists are able to keep their personal religious beliefs separate from science.

Think how many asian scientists there are. Indians are not usually atheist.

However, they would argue against teaching creationist garbage at school for one simple fact I agree with: creationist theories have ZERO educational value and are not applicable in any useful way outside of promoting an agenda. Whereas I cam show you evolution in a petri dish as a strain of bacteria incorporates a plasmid and suddenly has new survival advantages.

I understand that nothing spiritual belongs in schools. Should be kept at home. Just like some religious "scientists" Don't understand how it's "garbage" though.
