I also read the comics and the inane writings of the ******* columnists in the Washington Post.

I'm not sure which are funnier.

So how is that working out for mankind? Any results, any injustices that have been corrected?

I just realized how long it has been since I actually read a paper Newspaper. The only column I remember reading on a regular basis was Will Rogers. The Hartford Courant ran reprints of them in the 1950s. Sorry, I'm not quite old enough to have read the originals when Will was writing them.

The newpapers my parents' were subscribed to never had a Religion column! Is that something common in the United States? What is typically in a religion column? My mother used to read the horoscopes for fun, but I never did. Myself, I haven't had newpapers to read for a long time, I get my news from the internet.

Our paper (major US city) carries the Billy Graham column. He answers questions submitted by readers. The questions are typically about Christian doctrine or seeking advice.

We also have a religious section that appears once/week. It has national and local religious news and feature articles.

If you're reading the Washington Post you'll get more information out of what's going on in the country from the comics....

I remember some time back in the 30s, reading an article about Al Capone, he offered to help find the missing Lindbergh baby for a reduction in his sentence, the U.S. Atty. General turn the offer down... imagine that.....
