I am deeply saddened to hear that. His wisdom will be missed. I disagreed with him over some things, but have much admiration for him.

What sad news. I attended the gravesite funeral of an observant Jew a few months ago. They are gracious, intimate, powerfully reflective, and sensitive ceremonies. Deepest respect for Walter Greenspan, and condolences to his family.

I feel the same; we had some good debates; sad news indeed.

Peace to his family.

I can't say that I got to be very familiar with him but he was a pleasant and informative poster on Judaism.

I lift my hat in respect for his passing.

We had little contact in the forum . . . but it is sad for his friends and loved ones. They have my sympathies . . . though I am confident that he is happy now.
