If we Christians are wrong about Jesus (that he's not God), will God punish us harshly for worshipping a man as God?

Worship was never for God's benefit. It is and always has been to aid us in achieving the proper spiritual state of mind and drawing closer to God. Contrary to our ignorant ancestors' primitive beliefs, God has no ego and does not have any of the negative human weaknesses. If worshiping His Son brings you closer to God and spiritual maturity, why would God be upset?

Not relevant question. A person who says he's a christian count Jesus as God. They are one in the same. Cannot be separated. For the purpose of the discussion, a person of this sort almost always follow God. But the Jewish person also does this too. So they become one.

one of the reasons that make some people do not believe in the Bible
because in the Bible they see things that are not integrated
and it confuse anyone who have a desire to believe and to apply the commands

but the non believers are not excused,
and not only them but also any one who does not believe in the final Holy Book The Quran.

a Holy Book should be from the God
and typical people will have no objection to accept things from the God
but when a man deletes or inserts things into the holy book because he has the influence
then this holy book will not be considered from the God
let alone when the things he inserts is very abominable
and that is one of reasons for the atheists to do not believe in the Bible
and they are excused from that point but Allah will not accept that from them because they have the Holy Quran.
