And that's a blink of an eye when you consider the number of new species appeared.

Aren't you a YEC? I would consider a blink of an eye to be all the species that exist today evolving from the survivors of the ark in few thousand years.

It's really sad that there are (ostensibly) adults who, in the year 2013, feel complelled due to their weak faith to cling to the infantile, ridiculous notion that the story of Noah's Ark is 100% valid and accurate history.

Or that Adam and Eve were real people.

Or that there are demons infesting people.

Yeah. I'm a YEC. But those that discount YEC's due to the explosion of new species by natural selection should have a problem with the Cambrian exposion.

Or worse yet, there are people that have such pathetic lives that they go and make fun of religious people on message boards!

I don't "make fun of religious people."

Most religious people I know are intelligent, compassionate, kind people.

But fundamentalists/literalists are quite funny, after all.

Fortunately, their brand of infantile, groundless, weak-faithed belief is a minority view. Sadly, they can be a very vocal minority.

Why?

PS-- There are all kinds of reasons to discount YEC claims.
